Mythbuster : your hair will grow faster in a protective style

As the weather starts to cool down I know many of us are reaching for the expressions and boho locs to keep our hair safely tucked away for the winter. This is no problem, what does give me jokes is when people mistake slippage for growth! That loose hair at the root is sadly not all new growth babes 😤A protective style does NOT grow your hair, it can aid in length retention when done right! Anyway what is your fave go to style for the winter? I need some suggestions
